I found this site while looking for info on making carbon fiber armor: http://www.wtknives.com/index.html He has some really nice, extremely high-tech, knifes and swords. He even has a katana that has a titanium core, dual-layered carbon fiber, and a titanium-carbide edge. The titanium core and carbon fiber makes it very, very light, yet EXTREMELY strong, and the titanium carbide is VERY hard (it's used to cut diamond) which makes it possible to make the sword REALLY sharp. He has a fixed blade knife, folding knife, and neck knife with the same technology. And titanium and carbon fiber don't rust, so this sword could be left out in the rain for months and be fine!!

OK, I e-mailed him to ask the prices. A sword will cost between $3,500 and $5,000!!!! However, it will be the lightest sword I have ever held.
